Career Opportunities for Scientists in Life Sciences
Institute of Life Sciences, Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, is an emerging multidisciplinary institute engaged in advanced research in genomics, proteomics, oncology, immunology, infectious diseases, vector borne diseases, stress biology, environmental biotechnology and bioinformatics. The Institute invites application from Indian citizens for core scientist positions in various grades to work as independent investigators. A demonstrated record of scientific productivity in the form of recent peer – reviewed publications in scientific journals of international repute and / or internationally valid and productive patents is essential; highly motivated scientists with demonstrable independence in scientific thinking with three to five years of post – doctoral experiences will be considered. Appointment will be at any Level / Grade from Scientist – B to F depending on the profile and suitability of the incumbent. Level of appointment will be based on experience and the quality of scientific productivity. Generous start – up funds / facilities will be provided although scientists are expected to generate extramural project based funding. Maximum age limit : 45 years.
